Mike Jacobs belted a grand slam in the fifth inning and that was the difference in the Marlins 7-3 win over the Pirates. Hanley Ramirez continued to rake and he went one for three with an RBI and two runs while Jorge Cantu went two for four with a run.
Mark Hendrickson picked up his first win of the season with a solid outing. He gave up three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Justin Miller pitched two shutout innings and he struck out two in the win.
The Marlins go for the sweep tomorrow. Rick VandenHurk gets the nod against Ian Snell.
