It’s too bad the Marlins couldn’t play the Nationals all the time. For the second straight game, the Marlins racked up nine runs and leading the way was Miguel Cabrera. The third baseman had two hits, an RBI and three runs. Josh Willingham had three hits, two RBIs and a run while Mike Jacobs had two hits, two runs and an RBI. Even Scott Olsen got in on the action with two hits, a run and an RBI. The two games stats for the Marlins are like something out of a video game.
And speaking of Scott Olsen, he had a mixed outing. He picked up the win and only gave up two hits in 5 1/3 innings but he walked five. Regardless, he’s 1-0 which is the important thing.
The Marlins go for the sweep tomorrow with Anibal Sanchez on the mound. It’s not in the bag, but it looks like the Mets are going to win so we’ll probably be tied with them at the top. Yeah, it’s early, but it’s nice.
