Marlins Blown Out, Mini Win Streak Ends

by @ 6:52 pm. Filed under 2008 Marlins

The Marlins are back at .500 and it was their pitching that did them in.  Rick VandenHurk gave up four runs in 2 1/3 innings while Taylor Tankersley gave up four runs in just one inning of work.

Jorge Cantu and Paul Hoover were the only Marlins with two hits.  The Marlins drew just a single walk and they struck out twelve times in the 9-2 loss.

Next up for the Marlins are the Nationals.  Andrew Miller gets the start and he’ll try to bounce back from a horrible start earlier this week.
