This game was kind of ugly. The Marlins scored six quick runs and took a nice lead but they didn’t put the Nationals down. Of course it came back to haunt them and three ninth inning runs off of Jorge Julio cost the Marlins a three game sweep.
Anibal Sanchez wasn’t all that great either. He did work 5 2/3 but he gave up four runs on ten hits with just one strikeouts. At the plate, Miguel Cabrera got it done again. He hit a solo homerun while Hanley Ramirez scored two more runs. Cody Ross drove in two while Mike Jacobs scored twice.
It doesn’t get any easier because the Phillies come to town. Sergio Mitre gets the start tomorrow.
