The Marlins came from behind to beat the Mets 7-5 today and the bulk of the offense came via the long ball. Cantu’s homer was a three run shot while Jacobs went yard with one runner on base.
Ricky Nolasco threw five solid frames. He gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Joe Nelson saved his fifth game of the spring with a shutout ninth inning.
Rick VandenHurk gets the start tomorrow. It’s another afternoon game and Kyle Lohse will throw for the Cardinals.

Excellent recap. It will be interesting how Jorge Cantu plugs the hole at 3B (and whether he can play defense well there, too).
